That way it would make reaching the farthest plants easier from a wheelchair. Just make sure the top "steps" don't shade the lower steps. It was all so very exciting for them. One of the books that was helpful to me was something called square foot gardening. I think they also had a companion TV show on PBS. Thanks for taking me down memory lane.
